Didn’t think I needed numbers for my swing

But when my coach started teaching with sportsbox, our lessons went from stagnating on this one move in my backswing forever to actually making progress. If you are motivated to actually improve and change your swing, you can’t just rely on “feel” because that feel is relative to your body condition that day or what new movement pattern you’ve established. You need to quantify the change you want to make.

The best golf teacher, right in my pocket!
I’m a very visual learner. I’ve spent thousands of dollars with different instructors thinking I’ll eventually find “the one” whose teaching style resonates with how I learn. When I met my current instructor who uses Sportsbox with her students, I realized it’s not just about the instructor, but their tools. The app was a game changer for me and my handicap. IMO, teaching students by asking them to “feel” this and “imagine” that is outdated and NOT. HELPFUL. AT. ALL. It’s like a grandma saying “just use however much salt feels right” - a recipe for disaster. I’m not a pro who’s super in tune with every little muscle and movement, and I can’t change what I’m doing if I don’t know what I look like. Sportsbox shows me exactly what I look like from all the different angles AND quantifies adjustments so I can correlate the changes I’m making in my swing with the changes in ball flight. Every golfer who’s serious about *actually* improving should find an instructor who’s trained on the app. You’ll get SO much more out of your lessons and practice sessions in between.

Fills huge gap in my practice
It is difficult for me to practice now without using SportsBox. I am a low digit amateur golfer who wants to improve. I work with a coach but he isn’t there for practice and video alone only offers so much opportunity to understand my improvement. Now when I practice I can use Sportsbox for a few swings and check if I am achieving the changes I am trying to implement. It helps me look at rotation, sway, and other body positions I would have little reference to evaluate just through raw video. I couldn’t be a bigger advocate of Sportsbox as a tool for golfers who want to improve and track/identify if they are achieving their intended changes.

Truly Amazing
My coach just recently showed me Sportsbox after using it to analyze my swing. I couldn’t believe how accurately the app was able to model my everything after just a face on swing video. I have seen PGA Tour players use an actual body suit device to accomplish this, but the fact that Sportsbox is able to do this with just your phone camera is mind blowing. The numbers are extremely helpful if you know how to use them, and the app provides you with swing data from the best players in the world. Could potentially see this sort of data-driven technology disrupt the standard for golf instruction.
